Description
This beautiful antique ceramic is a hu 壺 vase with a rich polychrome decoration of geometric patterns arranged in registers that extend from its mouth to its ring-shaped foot. This vase is typical of Chinese terracotta production under the Han (206 BCE – 220 CE), the famous dynasty whose hegemony corresponds to one of the greatest periods of splendor in China’s early imperial reigns.
Condition report:
The vase is in a very good condition despite a small minor chip visible on the body. Its decoration is mostly preserved and still shows beautiful red tones.
