Description

Dating from around the 14th century, this bowl with a poly-lobed lip bears witness to the artistic effervescence that characterised the Trân dynasty (1225-1400). Made of stoneware and measuring 15 cm in diameter, it is enriched with an incised floral decoration that appears under the glaze on the inner wall. The typology and decoration are reminiscent of Chinese production from the contemporary Yuan dynasty.

Provenance: Private collection.
