Description
These photographs are albumin prints mounted on cardboard. They are each enhanced with colour.
On one side is the photograph of the bluff in Nagasaki with a jinrikisha in the foreground. The puller wears a sandogasa, a bamboo hat to protect himself from the sun. On the other side is a photograph of a road with peasants.
Jinrikisha are Japanese vehicles pulled by the strength of a man.
